The Curriculum Office, in partnership with UW-IT, is developing a paperless curriculum management process by implementing a new tool called UW Curriculum Management (UW CM). UW CM uses a Software as a Service (SaaS) product by Kuali. The new tool will enable the Office of the Registrar and curriculum administrators to analyze, manage and publish the University’s learning products including courses, majors, degrees and catalog. The tool will also replace the current paper processes for proposing new courses and programs and modifications to courses and programs.
We are currently configuring the UW CM for the University. The first release of the tool will support data collection efforts for new sections of MyPlan and will launch in early 2015. The subsequent features for course management will roll out during the 2015-16 academic year with program management following later in 2016. You can track the progress and read updates on this project here. We’ll also post learning materials and announcements about training events to this site as they become available.
Thank you for your interest and support as we make the University more efficient by digitizing several paper processes. If you have questions or feedback, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
